Friends with benefits?

IS a friend with benefits (FWB) ever a good idea? I am 20 ive been dealing with the same 23 year old man since i was 13. We are extremely good friends. He recently had a baby girl with a woman who he has been seeing for 5 yrs now. We talk almost everyday, text, chill. We're friends but we still have . His baby's mother( there not dating) knows about me and i know about her. I love him but i cant waste any more time. I thought i was going to die when i found out he was having a kid( which he told me about 1mth b4 she was born) i cant go through anymore of this kind of b.s. What also makes me upset is the fact that everytime we had unprotected he always made sure he bought me PLAN B. He acted as if children ws the worst thing ever but now he has a new born. What will it take for me to finally leave him alone? Is there anyone else out there with my problem?
