Shouldn't we update the Doomsday Clock of the Atomic Scientists?

To somehow include the 'wisdom' of individuals to include a survivalist mode/agenda to their economic portfolios? I mean the increasing likelihood of an economic collapse (formerly nuclear war-same basic idea). "Survivalist", by the way is open to interpretation and may not necessarily include of hoarding food or arming yourself like a paranoid red neck who sees a socialist behind every door. Please intelligent considerations only.
