What Do I Need To Convert My House To Solar Power?

I have a small house with basic asphalt shingles. I use about 2100 kw a month in power because of the A/C. (It gets somewhere between 99f-102f.) I was looking at the solar panels at http://www.solarhome.org/solarpanelscenter.html and was shocked at the prices of it. If I use 83 kw a day, how much would i need to bring this down from using the power grid? I want to one day be totally off the power grid. From my understanding they create 200w per day, I think I am wrong, so if you can answer this question, can you all help?
