Is this guy being confusing or is it just me?

We talk for hours on end all the time from like 9pm until 5 in the morning. Hes so sweet and polite. We have started this new question game we play together and we ask questions about eachother so he asked me "was in interested in anyone atm" so i said "maybe :P" hinting towards him and he then said he wasn't really interested in anyone. But then he was saying about us being fwb but no and i said like how can we be that fwb are based on so he said just friends then :). I know his life (hes had with 2 girls he 19) he knows myn (once im 18) and im comfortabke talking with him about it. So last night he knew i was going out and text messaged me saying he was out and were was i.Then after invited me to a party and came to meet me but i ended up not going because i couldn't find him. He still like texted me when i didn't show up. He is so sweet though and idk if hes being friendly or wants more?
