Are Corgis good dogs for what I want to do?

I'm saving up for a dog, and I want a dog I can raise and grow up with. I was thinking a corgi, just cuz they're so dang cute! Are they good for outdoor stuff? What about shedding? Are they good around other animals? Like cats, other dogs, horses, chickens, etc? Is it a good countryside dog to take on walks, runs, and possibly even hunt with? I REALLY want a dog I can take on horseback rides, and are they hard to train and how long do they usually live? Thanks a lot for taking the time to read this wall of text! haha.
